Western Medicine is the medical system we use here in the United States in which medical doctors and healthcare professionals manage and treat symptoms, diseases, and illnesses using medications, lifestyle modifications, hands-on procedures, and surgery. While our goals is prevention of disease and illness at Yuko Family Medicine, we use Western Medicine when they do arise to help you restore and maintain your health.
Eastern Medicine is best defined as a broad range of medical practices that focuses on treating the mind and body, as well as disease, through natural remedies. Eastern Medicine dates back thousands of years. At Yuko Family Medicine, we incorporate Eastern Medicine with Western Medicine as appropriate and desired to help you heal and achieve balance and wellness. You can receive medical acupuncture and cupping from Dr. Yuko as part of your care.

Dr. Yuko has hospital privileges at some of top hospitals in the Boston area, including Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, providing continuity of care.
Accepting New patients under the age of 41
All new patients must complete and submit the new patient paperwork. Once received by the office, the office will reach out to schedule the initial visit. All adult new initial visits are via televisit. Healthy pediatric children initial visit will be in office. All new potential pediatric patients must submit a vaccine record and any previous pediatric records if previously seen the in the US. We do not except emailed forms due to the sensitive nature of the record. Forms can be dropped off, mailed or faxed to 617-232-8086

New Patient Registration Forms
For all sick visit requests please contact the office first thing in the morning, We strive to fit in our sick patients within 24 to 48 business hours.
Medication refill requests: Non-controlled can take up to two to three business days, controlled substances can take up to five business days.
Insurance referral requests may take up to three business days. When requesting an insurance referral please be sure to have the specialist full name, Fax number and NPI number.
Administrative Forms such as school and camp forms may take up to seven business days.
